TNT opens first "green" depot in the Netherlands
Amsterdam, TNT is today opening its first CO2 emission-free depot in Veenendaal, the Netherlands. The official opening is to be attended by Harry Koorstra, member of TNT’s Board of Management and Group Managing Director Mail The depot is the first in a series of “green” buildings to be used by TNT as part of its worldwide environmental programme, Planet Me. The global mail and express delivery company aims to cut the CO2 emissions of all of its buildings, totalling three million square metres of real estate in over sixty-five countries.
TNT Sets Up New Gateway at Osaka Kansai International Airport
Amsterdam/Shanghai - TNT, the global express and mail company, today announced the opening of its new International Gateway at Japan’s Osaka Kansai International Airport. The TNT International Gateway in Osaka Kansai will not only strengthen the express service capability of TNT’s Northeast Asian International Express Network, it will also shorten the transit time for deliveries into Osaka, from China by one day.

Amsterdam, Trading conditions in TNT's European Express business have significantly worsened in September and, based on the volume patterns in the first two weeks of October, TNT expects this pressure to continue in the fourth quarter.
