We would like to inform you that it’s currently not possible to send any mail and parcels to Sudan as the route has been closed off. Currently, we are exploring alternative routes, but advise you not to send any items to Sudan until further notice. Should there be any changes, or if we have a suitable alternative we will inform you.

Severe winter conditions will have impact on the delivery of all mail and parcels on the South Island and Central/Lower parts of the North Island. Delays are to be expected. The situation is expected to return to normal at the end of this week. We will inform you when the situation changes.

The quickly spreading ransom-ware cyber attack is hitting companies in multiple sectors in countries across the world, including France, Russia, Spain, Ukraine and the United States. Until now, we have been informed that the following postal operators have been affected as per June 27, 2017: Russian Post, Ukrainian Post and express division of Deutsche Post in the Ukraine. This means that track & trace information for items to these destinations might be missing and that delays in local mail and parcel processing for items sent to Russia and the Ukraine are to be expected. It is not yet known whether other postal operators have been affected as well. As soon as we have additional information, we will provide you with an update.

Due to large backlogs following the closure of the Guatemalan postal agency in 2016, the company has again decided to shut down all postal import (including both letter mail and parcels). Items delivered to PostNL with destination Guatemala therefore temporarily cannot be delivered. It is unknown when the Guatemalan postal services will resume.
