PostNL Parcels wins Zalando
The Hague – PostNL Parcels has won a contract to deliver Zalando orders in the Netherlands. Zalando is one of the fastest growing online Fashion retailers in the Dutch market. PostNL Parcels will handle both delivery and return shipments. The contract will become effective in the end of the second quarter of 2012.
Omega Pharma extends its contract with PostNL Parcels Belgium
The Hague / Turnhout – Omega Pharma, a leading player on the Belgian market for over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and personal care products, has extended its contract with trans-o-flex Belgium for another three years. Trans-o-flex Belgium, whose upcoming acquisition by PostNL was recently announced, has been the distributor for Omega Pharma’s business-to-business consignments in Belgium since 1987. The contract involves the handling of 15,000 pallets and 500,000 parcels annually.
PostNL launches mobile telephony per second
The Hague – Today, PostNL extends the range it offers at its PostNL Post Offices to include a prepaid mobile service. The company will start selling SIM card packages and Combi packages, featuring a mobile phone and a SIM card, in 2,000 post offices in the Netherlands. PostNL Mobiel’s telephone services are easy on the pocket, simple and reliable.
PostNL officially launches Dutch Country Houses stamp series with Keukenhof Castle
The Hague / Amersfoort – PostNL, together with the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency, today officially launched the Dutch Country Houses stamp series. The first sheetlet in this series features the Keukenhof Castle in Lisse. The first stamp sheetlet was presented to Lisse-born musical performer, singer and presenter Bastiaan Ragas at Keukenhof Castle by Annerie Lekkerkerker, Retail Director at PostNL Marketing & Sales, and Erik Kleijn, Head of Heritage Structures at the Dutch Cultural Heritage Agency.
Stamps encourage visits to Amsterdam
The Hague – PostNL today issued its Europe 2012 and Netherlands 2012 stamps, the theme of which is ‘Visit’. These stamp sheetlets explore the theme of ‘the waters of Amsterdam’ and encourage Europeans to visit Amsterdam. The sheetlet with stamps for destinations in the Netherlands is called ‘Bezoek Amsterdam’ while the name of the sheetlet with stamps for destinations in the rest of Europe is a translation of this: ‘Visit Amsterdam’.

Some mail delay in and around Amsterdam due to power failure
The Hague – Today residents in and around Amsterdam will only receive some of their mail, and in some cases none at all. The cause is a power failure over night in the Sloterdijk area of Amsterdam, which also affected the PostNL sorting centre.

PostNL publishes agenda AGM 2012
The Hague – Today, PostNL published the agenda of the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on 24 April 2012. The Supervisory Board of PostNL N.V. will propose to appoint Mr F. Rövekamp as a member of the Supervisory Board at the AGM. In addition, the Supervisory Board will propose to re-appoint Mr P.C. Klaver as a member of the Supervisory Board.
Stamps marking 125 Years of the Dutch Salvation Army encourage compliments
The Hague – PostNL is issuing a special stamp sheet to mark the 125th anniversary of the Dutch Salvation Army. Arno van Bijnen, Retail & Consumer Market Director at PostNL, presented the stamp sheet to commissioner Hans van Vliet, Commander of the Salvation Army for the Netherlands and Czech Republic. The presentation took place today, 1 March, at Plein Square in The Hague, where this special anniversary and National Compliment Day were being celebrated.
