100 Years of the Netherlands Open Air Museum – Paying homage to daily life – on a postage stamp
Arnhem – PostNL today presents the 100 Years of the Netherlands Open Air Museum (Nederlands Openluchtmuseum) stamp sheet. The centenary is celebrating a hundred years of paying homage to daily life. It was precisely a century ago that the Netherlands Open Air Museum Foundation was established at Arnhem’s concert hall, Musis Sacrum. Pieter-Matthijs Gijsbers, Adelheid Ponsioen and Jan Vaessen, current and former directors of the museum, were today presented with the first stamp sheet by PostNL’s Rene Bergschneider.
Resolutions Annual General Meeting of Shareholders
The Hague – Today, PostNL N.V.’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) adopted the 2011 financial statements and determined the dividend over 2011 at € 0.407 per ordinary share, of which € 0.214 per ordinary share has been paid as an interim dividend. The final dividend of € 0.193 will be fully payable in ordinary shares.
Mail deliverer Hans bikes 13,000 kilometres for charity
The Hague – After biking for 248 days in total, mail deliverer Hans Jansen arrived in Chikwawa (Malawi) yesterday. He started out on his "bike trip" from his home in Vlissingen in southwestern Netherlands on 15 August last year and, in the eight months since, he has cycled 13,000 kilometres. His aim has been to collect as much money as possible to donate to the World Food Programme’s school meals initiative in Malawi. In total he has raised nearly €18,000, enough to pay for over 90,000 school meals in Malawi.

TNT Post Parcels rolls out 230 handhelds in Belgium
Hoofddorp / Vilvoorde – TNT Post Parcels, part of PostNL Parcels, has completed a major upgrade of its IT environment with the introduction of 230 handheld terminals in Belgium. Thanks to this, customers can now track their parcel online anytime of the day.
