PostNL expands product portfolio with acquisition in the courier market
The Hague – PostNL has acquired the courier company Valid Express. This transaction broadens PostNL product range for customers who need reliable and same day delivery. The acquisition of Valid Express provides PostNL with a nationwide courier network with a social heart. Valid Express provides chronically ill and physically disabled people with a full and equal job, helping and keeping them out of the benefits environment.
Stamps on the occasion of reopening Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam
Amsterdam – Today, PostNL presented the stamp sheet Stedelijk Museum Open on the occasion of the reopening of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam on 23 September 2012. Annerie Lekkerkerker, director Retail & Consumer Market of PostNL, handed the first stamp sheet to Patrick van Mil, business director of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
PostNL Parcels promotes sustainability parcel deliverers
Hoofddorp / Leeuwarden – The PostNL parcels delivered in Leeuwarden are fuelled by carbon neutral Greengas (biogas) vans, thanks to a public-private partnership between Roorda Transport Services, OrangeGas, the municipality of Leeuwarden and PostNL Parcels. Roorda Transport Services is the first sustainable parcel deliverer in a nationwide PostNL Parcels programme to promote sustainability among independent parcel deliverers.
PostNL acquires stake in Scoupy
The Hague – PostNL has acquired a minority shareholding in Scoupy through its subsidiary Netwerk VSP. The free Scoupy app gives consumers access to discounts in shops, bars, hotels, restaurants and leisure activities in their immediate vicinity by means of their smartphones. Scoupy is the leader in the rapidly growing mobile couponing market in the Netherlands.
125 years Carré on stamps
Amsterdam – Today, PostNL presented the 125 years Carré stamp sheet. Arno van Bijnen, interim director Commerce, presented the first copy of the stamp sheet to Madeleine van der Zwaan, director of Carré. The 125 years Carré stamp sheet is issued to commemorate the jubilee of the Royal Theatre Carré, which opened its doors on 3 December 1887. The sheet features the major types of performances that are characteristic of the wide range of performances staged at the Royal Theatre Carré.
PostNL changes top structure
The Hague – PostNL announces that it intends to modify its top structure. The proposed Board of Management will consist of 2 members, CEO Herna Verhagen and CFO Jan Bos. There will also be an Executive Committee (EC) of 4 members who are responsible for the daily management of the business.
