Procurement
Group Procurement is tasked with optimising and professionalising the procurement organisation and process at PostNL. Group Procurement works on behalf of the current and new business in the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Italy and Belgium, focusing its efforts on using the purchasing power of PostNL as a whole to negotiate the best possible deal every time.
PostNL’s strategy is balanced and designed to deliver promising dividend and growth. Professional procurement is an essential part of providing PostNL customers with the best possible service. A good procurement policy creates a competitive edge. Having more control over the procurement process improves cooperation with our suppliers and allows us to improve our supply chain in terms of speed and quality.
We expect our suppliers to be reliable, prepared to enter into partnerships and willing to help us find ways to lower costs. We expect our suppliers to, at the very least, act in accordance with accepted ethical, legal and social standards, and we furthermore expect them to operate sustainably, in compliance with all applicable local and international laws and regulations.
We conduct our business on the basis of our General Conditions of Purchase and the PostNL Business Principles. Group Procurement also acts in accordance with the PostNL policy on supply chain sustainability.
