Strategy

PostNL is almost everywhere. That is why we know better than anyone what is happening in the world around us and how our business affects people and the environment.

We have been delivering mail for the past two hundred years, and over that time corporate responsibility has become a way of life within our company. We not only comply with laws and regulations but are always on the lookout for ways to go that little bit further. That is part of who we are.

When it comes to corporate responsibility we focus on areas where we can draw on our specific expertise and experience to really make a difference. These areas are:

  • our employees
  • the environment
  • other stakeholders, such as subcontractors and suppliers
  • partnerships

As a solid foundation to our corporate responsibility activities we pursue several globally recognised management standards across the company. These are:

  • OHSAS 18001, for safety in the workplace
  • Investors in People (IiP), for the personal growth of our employees
  • ISO 14001, for environmental management, and
  • ISO 9001, for the quality of our work
